If you love craft workshops, entertainment and food then you will want to head to the Bay areas favorite craft, art, design and DIY spectacular that features over 250 of today’s finest indie-craft talents from all over the nation!  That’s right the Renegade Craft Fair has crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion for this weekend only.

At this Fair you will be able get your hands right down into your favorite craft with workshops and demonstrations.  Just head to the Hands-On Crafting Mezzanine where you’ll find workshops, DJs from Amoeba Music, a cash-bar and sweeping views of the Bay!  If you are interested in participating in workshops, consider the Accessorize with Toys workshop where you can learn all about how to repurpose old toys into earrings, broaches and more.  Or maybe fabrics are more your style!  Go to the Scarving Artists Knit-in and receive a crash-course in knitting and crocheting.  And if you’re an Etsy lover, like me, you will go crazy over their many quick and simple, make and take projects that include stamping, sewing and printing.

But if workshops are not your thing, you can always head to the Museum of Craft and Folk Art as well as the Pavilion Floor where you can get free magazines and enter into raffles for cool prizes.  Plus, there will be rocking performances by fun bands as well as food to fill your hungry belly.  Don’t fret if you’re a vegetarian, not only will there be meat available but you’ll also find vegetarian and vegan-friendly options at the Fair! Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will also be for sale if you feel like getting crazy.

So, be sure to attend this FREE Fair on July 31 and August 1 and consider riding your bike, taking public transportation or walking to the fair.  It will help the environment!  But if you will be driving, there is low-cost parking on site.  As an artsy and crafty person myself, I will definitely attend this fair when it comes to Los Angeles next year.
